Nick Cordero is a Canadian actor. He is majorly known for appearing on Broadway in 2014 in the musical Bullets Over Broadway in the role of Cheech. For that role, he managed to be nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and the Drama Desk Award, for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical and a Theater World Award for the role. He originated the title role in the Off-Broadway production of The Toxic Avenger.
He also was cast as an actor known as Dennis in Rock of Ages on Broadway in 2012 and on tour. He played the role of Earl in the Broadway Production of Waitress in March 2016. He then exited Waitress to join the Broadway premiere of the musical A Bronx Tale, as “Sonny” at the Longacre Theatre starting on November 3, 2016. In the year 2017, he depicted the role of Victor Lugo in “Heavy is the Head” the 10th episode of the 8th season of the CBS police procedural drama Blue Bloods and reprised the role in 2018 in “Your Six” the 20th episode of the 8th season of the show.
Nick Cordero is “fighting for his life” in intensive care after testing positive for coronavirus, his wife, celebrity fitness trainer Amanda Kloots, posted on Instagram.
“My whole world has stopped,” Kloots wrote. “Please pray for my husband.”
Late Saturday night, Kloots shared the scary details in an Instagram Story: Cordero, 41, had a new infection in his lung that caused his fever to spike, his blood pressure to drop and his heart to beat irregularly.
“He lost consciousness, he lost his pulse and they had to resuscitate him. … They had a very hard time getting him back,” she said. Then “I got a phone call at 2:30 in the morning, they needed my consent to put him on dialysis to assist with his kidneys.”
“My whole world has stopped. Please pray for my husband,” she wrote alongside a photo with him and their 10-month-old son Elvis Eduardo.
“Prayer warriors, prayer circles, whatever you’ve got. Energy, meditation, positive thinking. He is fighting for his life right now. Elvis and I need you Nick Cordero. It’s time to fight daddy.”
Kloots also shared a pic of Cordero with their son to her Instagram Story, pleading with her fans to pray that he makes it through.

His wife said, “Unfortunately we think he was misdiagnosed and we are waiting to hear if this is in fact COVID,” she explained. “He is scared, in the ICU and now unconscious so his body can get enough oxygen. … I’m not allowed there to visit of course and can do nothing to help him. … He isn’t allowed to eat or drink, he is very weak and having a hard time breathing. My hubby is fighting like a champ but this is serious.”
